    Hi all,

Having HUGE trouble capturing from DVD to Final Cut, completely out of ideas. Done this a million times with no hassle but today seems to be an exception.

Using a Pioneer HDD DVD player with a firewire in/out. Coming out of that using S-Video, into DV-Deck, out of DV-Deck firewire into Final Cut, set to non-controllable, and no picture in capture window.

Tried coming out of DVD player using phono’s instead, no luck. Same with scart to phono. Also tried coming out of dvd player firewire straight into Final Cut, still no joy.

This is very urgent, lots to capture, no time, usual story, any ideas???

    Thanks,

    Matt

Try using MPEG streamclip instead. I’ll bet it’s picture quality is better too.

Try installing Perian (https://perian.org/#download). I had a similar issue when I first used MPEG Streamclip and it solved the problem. It’s worth a shot and besides, Perian is just a good tool to have.
