Capture DVD
I was given footage on a DVD and I need to capture it into FCP. I could transfer to miniDV tape and then capture that, but doesn’t that lose a generation, which results is less quality?
I tried going from the DVD player to my miniDV deck through S-Video and RCA audio and then going from the miniDV deck to the computer through firewire.
I set FCP capture to non-controllable device.
I’m not getting anything in the log and capture window.
What am I doing wrong? Should I just transfer it to a miniDV tape and then capture that?
