Capture Blue-ray 3D footage and edit it !!!! – WORKFLOW!
Hey all,
This is pretty ambitious but I have a client that wants to give me so Blue-ray 3D movies. and wants me to edit them a bit. shorten them etc..
when I say 3D I mean REAL 3D for 3D monitors and active glasses..
So where do I start?
Can I rip from a BLUE-RAY DRIVE?
Can I capture with a card that has a HDMI input such as this:
DeckLink HD Extreme 3D
https://www.blackmagic-design.com/products/decklinkhdextreme/Can I edit this 3D footage and add my own 3D title and footage
Does PPRO or AE supports it?how do I export HD 3D ?
I got an answer from other forum regarding capturing HDMI input:
You cannot capture commercially available BluRay discs over HDMI with any card. The signal has HDCP (copy protection) and will not allow it.
So I need to either RIP it from the BLUERAY 3D drive.
or connect the BLUE-RAY 3D player to the SDI input.
Is there a HDMI to SDI converter?
will it convert t with the 3D data in it?BTW how is the 3D data stored?
Is it just two video streams running at the same time?is it somehow embedded and coded n the blue-ray disk codec?
how does it work and how can I capture it?
Can I somehow RIP it fom the Blu-ray Drive?how does Premiere Pro CS5 handle it?
