  Capture Beta/Digital Betacam in Premiere Pro Issue

  Currently I can capture tapes no problem via firewire with the following setup:

  Sony J-30 SDI connected via firewire to:

  Mac Mini
  3GHz Intel Core i7
  Intel Iris 1536 MB
  16GB Ram

  Capturing to an external hard drive connected via firewire.

  However, when I try to capture Betacam SP tapes (to save the line 21 CC information cutoff by firewire) with the following setup, I can only capture roughly 30 seconds of video before recording stops without as error message. This is the setup used to connect the deck via SDI:

  Sony J-30 SDI, SDI cable to Blackmagic Ultrastudio Mini Recorder, thunderbolt to Mac Mini.

  Has anyone tried this setup before, or can anyone tell me if this is perhaps a video card issue?
