  • Capture audio 3&4 via SDI with H264 pro recorder

    Hi everyone,
does anyone know how to capture audio from channel 3 and 4 via SDI with Blackmagic H264 pro recorder. I only see audio on channel 1 and 2 coming into BlackMagic Express. When I connect the SDI cable via the decklink pci card I do get all 4 channels in the BlackMagic Express, so I don’t think it has to do with the settings in the player (i’m having a HDcam deck here). I think it must be something with the H264 recorder, but I can’t find any settings or choice for the audio via SDI …

I really hope someone knows how to do this.

    Greetings,
    Polona

Currently it only captures the first 2 channels. That means that if you want to capture channels 3/4 you’ll need to re-embed them first.

Ah, too bad to hear that. :(((
I really hope there is an update coming soon. I usually get tapes which I am not allowed to alter, so re-embedding the audio channels is not an option.

    Hello,
    Has this problem been solved?
Is there a firmware update to capture more than the first two audio channels?
    Thanks,
    Julien
