capture analogue with Decklink Pro?
Can anyone tell me if this is possible?
I want to hook up a VHS player to capture via my decklink pro.
Any advice much appreciated! -

on your Decklink Pro there

Can you route the VHS through your main capture deck? Composite in to SDI out. Best way would be to dub onto your main format first.

Hi Jody,
The DeckLink Pro is primarily a digital card whereas your VHS player is analog. You would need to use a DeckLink SP or DeckLink Extreme to capture directly from the VHS player. Alternatively you could use a digital to analog convertor but that would probably cost much more than using a DeckLink SP card.
