cant view my output monitor
Hello,
im trying to set up my video output so i can see my ram previews on my TV. The TV has only an input and the only output on my computer is my video card and i have it connected through S-video. when i go to Edit->Preferences-> Video Preview, the only options are Computer monitor only and IEEE 1394 (OHCI Compliant) Is there a hardware that im missing or do i have it configured wrong???
if anyone can help i would really appreciate it

AE doens’t support video-preview through your graphics-card,
you’ll need a card like Blackmagic or AJA, or a camera with IEEE1394,
to view your workspace on an external monitor.cya,

Ohh that explains it. How bout for premiere pro?? I get an error saying somthing like make sure the com port is not in use

Premiere needs a blackmagic- or AJA-card too.
The most basic one would be the Blackmagic Intensity,
it gives you component/composite/YC and HDMI with a very affordable pricing. The card works on OSX, WIN XP-VISTA and WIN XP64-VISTA64.but … real-time HD 1920×1080 isn’t possible yet 🙁
