  • can’t update FCP to 7.03

I’ve got my disks and serial number for FCP Studio 3. I’m trying to update to 7.0.3. Whe I try to download it tells me that the serial number is not valid. Any thoughts?

Use the SOFTWARE UPDATE option in the System Preferences.

I tried that, but it says everything is up to date. However, my FCP lists as 7.0 and I know we’re up to 7.0.3

Hmmm…check the PROAPPS update? That’s what they are called.

Shane, I’m not sure what you’re saying here. All my apps are up to date but I’m only on FCP 7.0

I have the ProApplicationsUpdate2010-02 installed as of September. What does that tell us? My FCP still lists as 7.0

Have you by chance moved your FCP apps out of the default apps folder or put them inside another folder within the apps folder.

For software update to work the FCP apps must be in the apps folder just like they were when you finished installing them.
