    Hey guys,

quick issue. Got a sequence that is totally AMA linked. Just want to transcode either footage or sequence. Am doing everything I’m supposed to–

highlighting either sequence or clips in bin
    right clicking and selecting consolidate/transcode
checking transcode, selecting drive (same as source), verifying sufficient space
set codec and other minor tweaks
    hit transcode

it creates new files in bin, but when clicking them, viewer says media offline. The clips don’t even reference the drive I designate for transcode in AVID bin.

AM I MISSING SOMETHING? It’s late here on friday and need help quick! thanks 🙂

If your transcode running as a background process? That’s a new option in MC7.

    OK

think I figured ti out FINALLY. Sorry for the panic. The material WAS transcoding, it was just doing it in the background and I didn’t realize it was taking. So I think I just need to do a batch and go have a beer and come back.

    Sorry again for the freakout.
