  • Can’t size video width to 2069

Posted by Brian Murphy on October 28, 2020 at 10:52 pm

Anyone ever encounter this? I can create my comp at a width of 2069 but cannot render it out to that width in Media Encoder. It defaults to 2068 in AME. If I manually type in 2069, it goes back to 2068. Maddening. Little help?

    Thanks!

Not all formats allow the user to specify arbitrary dimensions. Some adhere very strictly to standard video sizes, some allow you to use any size you like, and some impose restrictions on dimensions (like they must be multiples of 4 or 8).

What format are you trying to use?

Thanks, Walter. This would be a MP4.

Yeah, MP4 has to be multiples of 4.

Thanks, Michael. I think I recall learning that in my early days of video but forgot about that little detail.
