  • Can’t send video from Source monitor to my SDI Monitor

Posted by Jordan Mena on February 24, 2016 at 9:01 pm

I’ve had this issue were I can watch the timeline on play out through my sdi monitor. But when I click on the source viewer nothing goes out except 1080i material. Is there an option I’m missing? I’m running premiere CC 2015 9.2 on a nmpro with BM ultrastudio 4k I/O.

    Thanks for any help.

Try to go to preference>playback>blackmagic playback setup and under “for output of unsupported frame size” try one of the 2 option: scale up or scale down.
    Hope this help

adobe said to reframe into another comp only the very specific sizes BM will accept. Unlike other devices, BM won’t automatically accept scaling. You can blame BM for this one. i.e. there drivers.

What resolution/frame rate is your source footage? What kind of signal does your monitor accept?
