  Can’t send clips from FPC to Motion project

  Each time I try to send a clip to Motion from FCP, I always get the message “File Error: Wrong Type”. I am also unable to import Moption projects into FCP (and get the message “File Error. Unkown file.”.
  Any ideas? And, as an interim solution, how do I ensure the backgrounds of my Motion projects remain transparent when I export them to QT, so I can lay supers over clips in FCP?
