    Hi,
I have been trying to capture clips in ProRes 422 1080i25 Field Dominance as Upper (Odd).
But each time i click the Capture Now and then Stop the capture, and after checking Item Properties, i always get the field Dominance as None. Why?

I’ve checked the ProRes 422 as Interlace: Top field First.
    But still reads as NONE.

    System i’m using is Mac Pro OsX 10.6.5 3.33GHz 6-Core Intel Xeon, Memory 8GB 1333MHz DDR3
    Using Xsan and Xserve Raid.

Video Card is AJA KONA LHe.

Another problem i face when i am trying to edit to tape is,
when i am playing out a 1hr show, it always have freeze frame or i think is drop frame.
And everytime there is this problem the audio gets out of sync. One thing i realize is that the Mac screen show a picture being edited to tape but my viewing monitor shows a picture that is early. Meaning the monitor being playback is slower than the Mac Monitor.
How can i solve this problem such that i can edit to tape once through without having any problem

    Thanks in advance
    Zen

[Mervyn] “I have been trying to capture clips in ProRes 422 1080i25 Field Dominance as Upper (Odd).”

You have been trying to capture clips of what type of video shot on what camera?

All you told us is what you want to end up with, but you’ve omitted the information about about what you’re starting with. That’s fairly critical info for those who want to help you.

How many frames out of sync? Again, pretty important info you’re telling us…

BTW, change the frame offset in the System Settings to “0,” as you see below. It’s set to “4” by default. It’s discussed in the AJA manual.
