Activity Forums VEGAS Pro cant see files

    i have rendered out some recent films as mpeg2 hdv files and have the finished blu ray – no issues there…. i now want to put a few clips from these films on to a fresh timeline to create a showreel – when i look for the mpeg files i cant see then via the explorer in vegas (just the audio)…. there are there but just cant see them…. any sugestions please.

    Did you select in the Vegas Explorer for VIEW the option ALL FILES?

    If you rendered them as HDV MPEG-2 video streams (*.m2v) then Vegas cannot edit them which is why it won’t show you them to drop on the timeline. Seems silly that Vegas cannot edit all of the formats that it can render but that’s the way it is. I wanted to do the same thing to render a DVD version of a Blu-ray project and was quite surprised to learn this. So if they are *.m2v files… this is your problem.
