I can’t see eras demi ITC in my font list in ProAnimator. It’s in my fonts folder. My other software (Avid DS) has it in its font list. ????

    Hi Judy,

There may be something odd about that font. I would suggest sending the font to Matt at Zaxwerks. I bet he’ll be able to figure out what’s happening.

OK I will… do I just send it to support at zaxwerks with attn: Matt or does he have a separate email?

    Judy,

Try matt@zaxwerks.com. Matt typically uses this address for forum questions. In your note explain the problem and when you get it resolved, please post a follow-up so the forum members can benefit.

    Thanks.

    Hi Judy.

I was able to install and use the font you sent me.

    I’ve contacted you offline.

Matt and I had some email correspondence. He suggested that I check HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Fonts to see if it was there.
It was. He guessed that the ID of the font conflicted with another installed font. I decided to delete all versions of the Eras font in my fonts folder and just install the eras demi ITC which is the most important version, for me, anyway. It works now! Dunno why that happened.

    Thanks, Judy.

Font name and number conflicts can happen on the Mac too. In the early days (OS9 and earlier), I had a font conflict resolver app… I believe it may have been part of Fontographer, but it’s been a long, long time.

In any case, I’m glad Matt was able to help.

    Thanks for the update!

    Jon
