    Hi!

I’m trying to render an animation in Cinema 4D, but it will only render one frame. It works with “Make preview”, but then there wont be any alpha channel so I can remove the background in After Effects. How do I render an animation in Picture Viewer.

Iv’e tried everything, ive chosen “All frames”, quicktime, millions of colors+, checked alpha channel, “Full render” etc.

Im so frustraded right now, how can I get this to work?

You’re using the render to picture viewer command and not the render view command, right?

Yeah, I do, but it only renders one frame.

one thing i typically do to render an animation is pick an encoder along with your movie format. for example advanced render/format/avi movie, then click “options” and under “compressor” tab i get a list of encoders my system has and i pick my “divx” encoder. that’s all it should be. as long as you’ve picked a format, encoder, and the amount of frames to render, and a place to render it, you should not have a problem. hope this helps.
