Can’t Reference Layers of Parent Comp with Expression in CC 2014
Hi,
I’m getting an error when I pickwhip to reference a layer in the parent comp of my layer with the expression.
This does not make any sense to me…if I pickwhip, the layer name should be correct. Does anyone know what might be happening? Thank you.

it should work that way. double check that you have the latest update.
if so, you might try a reboot and see if that has any effect.

Is it at all possible that you have more than one composition called “grid” ? Just a wild guess, as the error, indeed, does not make sense.
