Can’t record from PP 5.5 to Sony Z1 U
I generally shoot with a Sony EX1 and edit with Premiere Pro. I need to deliver a project on MiniDV tape. When I connected my Z1U with a firewire cable the device control in PP 5.5 worked fine. I could capture from the camera but PP5.5 would not send the file to the camera. The device control started the camera in record mode but no video or audio was sent. To check out the camera, I encoded the sequence as a Quick Time file and imported it into Premiere Pro 2.0 (which I still have on my computer). PP2.0 exported the project to the Z1U tape perfectly but the quality of the video was degraded. Is there some setting in PP5.5 I am missing?

Turn of MPE, that should do the trick.
