you are most definitely running off either VRAM buffer or just rendering power…. excuse me but why are you running a low-end GPU from 2008 ? your CPU is up to date and suits Vegas Pro amazingly well, multicore with powerful single-core performance, but everything is being held back by the 9500 GT. If money is a concern you can buy a 560 Ti off e-bay or similar place for very little money and experience an incredible performance boost, your actual PC build is not balanced at all and you know for most software your computer is as fast as the slowest of its components, in this case your GPU is more than slow, doesn’t belong with the rest of your good hardware.
