  • Can’t play a Swf in AE after importing

    hi,

After I import a SWF file into AE (as footage), it won’t play. Only the 1st frame shows up in AE. It seems to import ok as a shockwave object. If I play the .SWF file it plays in flash player ok, I’m I missing something? I only have a quick color correction I need done in AE on the file.

    Thanks-
    Bill

    Hey Casey,

Sorry I never did figure it out, I worked around it. My file was created in After Effects and saved as a swf, I had then done some work on it in Flash and wanted to save that work and edit it in After Effects. I ended up using my original After Effects file then re-exporting it a SWF and added the flash stuff again. That probably doesn’t help you at all (sorry), but it you find out how please email me.

    Thanks,
    Bill
