Can’t move empty Events?
Posted by Simon Ubsdell on July 4, 2011 at 7:46 pmIs it right that you can’t move an empty Event? Is that a deliberate feature? And if so why?

July 4, 2011 at 8:33 pmI have a empty event only with some keywords and smart collections setup as a template without any media that I copy to my media drive when I start a new project.
Seems to work.
Is that what you are meaning?
Cheers,
Brendan

July 4, 2011 at 8:34 pmNo, I mean a completely empty Event. Put anything in it and you’re OK, but leave it empty and it won’t move. Not a big thing, but an odd thing.

July 4, 2011 at 8:39 pmAhh yes, I see what you mean, I was only duplicating an event, but as you point when command+drag the event (move) to a different location….nothing happens
Just did another test….if you try to move a brand new empty event it wont allow you to do so, but if you add any media to the event and delete it again it will allow you to move the empty event….hmmm…odd

Thanks for confirming – I guess in practice it doesn’t matter a huge amount, but it’s good to know even the very little things. Sorry to have wasted your time 😉
