  • Can’t monitor output audio in log and capture

I’m not a newbie, but I haven’t edited in a couple months, so I can’t remember how to make this work. Should be something simple that I’m forgetting.
I have Decklink Extreme card and am trying to monitor the OUTPUT while in Log and Capture.
I am getting audio input fine.
I can hear my sequences playback fine.
I have tried the little preview button in log and capture with no success, but don’t remember ever having to click that anyways.
I have the FCP setting set to “playback Decklink Audio”.
I have the system audio settings set to Decklink audio.
    HELP!!!
    Thanks in advance.

Where are the analog outs from the Blackmagic card going?
Also keep in mind if you’re capturing via firewire you won’t hear the audio going through the card while capturing because you’re not going through the card.

    I FINALLY SOLVED THE PROBLEM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I disabled “Set Black Video Out To Deck When In Capture” in the Decklink control panel. It’s default is “on analogue out”. Since I am using a black burst generator already, I don’t use the default.
