  • Can’t import XDCAM footage/missing BPAV structure

I was just given a project with all the footage shot on the EX-3.

Now here’s the problem: Half the video is perfectly fine and I transferred it with the Sony XDCAM Import plug-in. The other half are just the video files from the CLPR folder without the BPAV folder or any of the other directory files.

I’ve tried opening this video in a variety of program: MPEG Streamclip, ffmpegX, ClipBrowser…and I’ve been unsuccessful.

Any ideas? Can I rebuild the directory structure?

When i faced similar problem once i used adobe media encoder. It did the job. Though I don’t remember whether I resorted to it because the structure was corrupted or because i haven’t sony software at hand.
