Hi Dave

I would recommend watching this rig removal tutorial by Cow Conributing editor, Carl Larsen. The principles should very well apply with your query I believe.

As you have already tracked the footage, you can parent the tracking information to the mask and it should pretty much stick.
The basic idea being, that we need to key frame the mask (rotoscope) so as to be able to pan (on x,y axes else you would need to matchmove it with a 3d app like PFHoe, PFTrack)
