Can’t get SONY broadcast monitor crisp
I just connected this great little monitor to my tower at work and I can’t seem to find any settings that prevent it from being fuzzy. It seems as though the resolution is off but I can’t fix it.
The monitor = sony lmd-2451w
(https://pro.sony.com/bbsc/ssr/cat-monitors/cat-videoproduction/product-LMD2451W/)It’s connected to my Mac tower via DVI (not DVI-D) and the resolution on both the monitor and the control panel is 1920 x 1200 @ 60hz (NTSC Television).
Please help!

This isn’t NTSC or any other flavor of TV for that matter.
Get a proper video card for your Mac. Decklink or Kona.
Get the SDI module for the monitor

It isn’t sharp and clear because you are sending it a computer signal, not a broadcast signal. You are sending a non-standard frame size…and an RGB signal, not YUV. It won’t look sharp unless you feed it a signal with an HD Capture card. AJA, Matrox, Decklink…
