  Can’t get Fire wire preview to workon Vegas Pro 8.0c

  HI I have looked through the forum here and I can’t seem to find the solution to my problem. I have an Dell XPS 420 pc with 3 gigs of ram 2.6 core 2 quad running Vista home. I have run Vegas pro 8 for years without issue. I recently did a reinstall of all of the software, and now I can’t get the on board firewire to work. I tried uninstalling it then reinstalling it. It keeps getting the TI driver. I disabled it and installed a firewire card. It also is not working (Tested the camera on another machine. It works fine.) THe card is using the VIA driver. Any suggestions on how I can get my firewire to work with Vegas?
