Cant get a custom transition effect to fade to second clip
In Premiere CS6, I put the Boris transition onto a cut. In the program, I choose a lens flare advanced for the custom transition i want to make. The problem is I am trying everything to get it to actually transition to the next clip but it wont. I tried setting all the V1 and V2 settings back and forth and nothing. Any tips?

old thread but I have the exact same issue.
I am on Avid but it has nothing to do with it since we are using the same interface.
Can’t understand why V2 doesn’t show.
