Can’t get 4K 1:1 stereoscopic H.264 video to export out of Media Encoder
Hello All,
I am trying to export H.264 out of After Effects/Premiere at 3840×3840 for use in VR workflow. The output file is intended for use in the Samsung Gear VR. When the dialog box export palette appears, Premiere has sized the 1:1 stereoscopic video down to 2304×2304. When I attempt to lock the aspect and scale the video back up, I get a warning dialog box (see attached). By the way, the project is in Premiere CC 2014 and also After Effects CC 2015.3 although it doesn’t seem to matter which version of which app I encode from or which version of AME I send it to.
It can’t be true that 2304×2304 is the highest resolution for stereoscopic VR out of AME, right? Any help is greatly appreciated; what am I doing wrong?
Thanks in advance for suggestions!
