  Can’t find an answer to this: HDV returned from DaVinci as progressive…

  I can’t find solution for this…

  HDV 1080i50 / 1440×1080 / upper field edited in FCP, sent to DaVinci, returned as Apple ProRes HQ 1980 x 1080 / none field.
  Picture in both projects looks ok on broadcast monitor.

  That was all done before me.

  The problem started when I tried to make mpeg2 / progressive for Digital TV. I tried sent it directly from FCP to Compressor and also tried to make reference file and import to Compressor – and result is the same: huuuge fields problem! First on my computer monitor, which surprised me since file should have been progressive. And than I imported mpeg2 file in FCP and same result was on broadcast monitor.

  Same thing happened when I tried to make PAL DVD – Compressor / DVD Best Quality 90 minutes, authored in DVD SP.

  I don’t know what am I doing wrong…
