I have an evaluation copy of After effects CS4

I notice in the Export module you can no longer render your finished movies in real video or windows media formats

    In fact the
    H264,
    H264 blue ray,
    mpeg 2 ,
    mpeg blu ray
and several other format options are missing from CS4 too.

Am I missing something or is it better to stick with CS3 if you want to export in those formats?

    Hi Sorry
    I didn’t make myself clear
It is actually the rendue cue option that seems to offer fewer export options in CS4 than CS3…not the simple export function.
There are a bunch more options in CS3 than in CS4 it would appear

The trial versions of our software have certain restrictions due to licensing agreements with our partners. Since we have to pay to use certain technologies, we can’t in turn, “give” them away. This is particularly annoying for our audio programs because the trials can’t import MP3 files.

All that said, Real Media export is *not* in CS4. Windows Media export is included in CS4 along with a myriad of other options not available in the trial.

    Thanks Dan
I did notice that real media is listed among the export formats in AE
CS3 (the actual version…not the trial) but it appears to be in the windows version only, not mac.

    Is this correct?

Real Media export is available in CS3 Windows only, but it’s not shipped in CS4 to my knowledge.
