I don’t know if i’ve gone mad or its always been like this, but I can’t export clips from viewer as “Quicktime Movie”. It only lets me export with Quicktime Conversion. Why is that? has it always been this way?

I just want to export a section of the clip, in the same settings as the clip.

So just drop it on the timeline, set your in and out points and export. Done deal.

No, I think you have gone mad, at least as far as fc7 is concerned. I just tried it and it is an option, try command-E and see if that works. Make sure the viewer is selected though. (and I’m sure it is) If that doesn’t do it, quit fc, trash your prefs files and restart fc and see if that works.
