    Hello All,

I have a number of different timelines in a PPro CS4 project. I can see them in my “Project” window, but when I double click them, it puts them in the “Source” Window, but doesn’t actually open the timeline so I can edit it.

I’ve created a new project and imported the original and still the same thing. I’ve also created an entirely different project with the same result.

Basically, whenever I close a timeline window, I can’t get it to reopen to edit it. It only goes to the “Source” window.

I have other versions of PPro and don’t have this problem.

    Thanks for your help!

this happens when holding down the control button, i wonder if your control button is malfunctioning on your keyboard?

I have never seen this behaviour before.

Perhaps a dumping of the preferences. CS4 i think hold down shift while launching PPro until it reaches the spalsh screen to open a new project.

Otherwise a reinstall would be the way to go.
