I’m using cinema 4d version 9.6 for mac. I was changing text and some how I managed to turn off the ability to edit the text. I can change font, align, height, horizontal spacing, ect…all but the text. Any Ideas how to get that option back

Do you still have the original Text spline primitiv object or did you convert it to a spline object?
If you converted it (pressing c could have caused this) you can only get back to your original text spline by using undos or adding a new text spline and entering the text there again.

    Kind regards,

Thanks for replying. This is what i did. In the Object Properties box I right clicked on the text box right next to the key frame, (not the text box where you type your text. A menu came up. in that sub menu are options for animation, user interface, copy, select all, deselect all… I clicked on User interface. In that submenu I had three options, String, Multi line string and Static Text. I just wanted to see what each of them did. When I clicked on Static text I lost the ablilty to edit my text. Do you know how to undo this?
