This is a vague statement. What exactly do you mean by this.

I downloaded the video file. I can put it on the timeline. Vegas said it created an audio proxy file. I can play it. I can position the cursor within the event and the preview window displays as expected. I can trim the ends of the event on the timeline.

It does work in the trimmer window but the behavior is strange there. Only the audio waveform is shown in the window until you play, then the video is shown. When I stop, then the trimmer window goes back to the audio waveform display. This makes trimmer window usage with this clip unusable.

Hi, I downloaded your clip and it appears to me to be what I would have expected. You overdid the aging effect a bit 🙂

SVP could not find an audio track, instead it created an audio proxy (which has no sound that I could tell). If there is audio there you will have to try some other tool.

The way to edit it is to forget the trimmer and just use the main timeline. Use ‘S’ (split) to separate the joined up clips you have. I put a little text in the middle and again all worked as expected.
