December 13, 2006 at 6:58 pmI find it strange as the render process is being noticeably slow… anyway I would like to know how to delete them. And I did register on your page (to ask the same question) I was only waiting for authorization.. so I will re-register as you asked.
Regards

December 14, 2006 at 1:27 pmThat’s it I only bought the software to use tha capture box and I know use it with moviemaker (I prefer it over Pinnacle’s awful software). If someone knows any application better than mmk compatible with the “MovieBox Deluxe” please let me know.
Thanks

December 14, 2006 at 8:36 pmUsing or rendering to WMV files is what’s slowing your machine down, not the “fade handles”.
Vegas, like most NLEs, works best with DV-AVI files which is what you really need to capture to for editing purposes.
As far as the “fade handles”, are you referring to the (extremely short) audio fades at the beginning and end of each clip? If so, that’s normal, nothing to worry about and, once again, nothing that would make editing or rendering painfully slow. -

December 14, 2006 at 9:35 pmI am aware of the wmv problem but as I’ve mentioned it is moviemaker’s format (I have no option) and the “fade handles” are not the ones that are at the beginning or end of the footage or the ones that you can create between each clip. They are like thousands of orange markers but without the numbers. I believe that moviemaker’s scene recognition is implementing them on the file and Vegas is identifying them. But they really are.. thousands (specially because of the bad quality of the 20 year old videos I’m handling). I can tell that the render is slowing down because of these handles because with other wmv (same length, bitrate, etc) the render goes much faster i.e. a wmv footage 2 hours long without “fade handles” exports in about 4:30 hrs to mpg 2… the same thing but with the handles exports en about 11 hours… I really need to delete them and they are really strange because I found no reference to them in the help file or on the internet.. my only hint was the “what’s this?” button… but right clicking or supr is no good (even if it worked it would be a pain to do it 1000 times).. so I need something that eliminates this things all at a time.
I hope I made myself clear this time. It’s a shame I can’t post a screenshot.

Alejandro
