Can’t click and drag to change an effect value using wacom tablet
Posted by Mathew Farrell on October 8, 2016 at 11:30 amWhen using a mouse, properties such as an Opacity can be dragged up or down with the mouse (click and drag on the value). I can’t do the same with my wacom intuos tablet – however After Effects lets me do it with the Wacom. I’m using PP 2015.4. I’m pretty sure I could click’n’drag with the stylus in previous versions.
Is this a bug, or am I possibly missing some crucial setting?

October 10, 2016 at 12:24 amIt’s a bug – I’m seeing exactly the same thing with my Wacom since upgrading to 2015.4.
Really frustrating!
Cheers,
Mike

October 11, 2016 at 10:53 amBum! Thanks for shedding some light, Mike. I’ll send a bug report.
So far 2015.4 has done NOTHING different for me except: Break Speedgrade dynamic link, which means I use a worse workflow (albeit a much better grading solution – Resolve 12!); slow me down by not letting my stylus work properly; slow me down by crashing quite a lot. Thanks, upgrade.

May 1, 2017 at 6:50 pmYes actually! I found an updated Wacom driver and installed it, which fixed the problem. The old driver wasn’t vibing with the new CC ’17 in only that manner, it seemed. But downloading and installing the updated driver did fix it. Let me know if it doesn’t work!

May 1, 2017 at 7:56 pmI installed the “Latest Drivers” (https://www.wacom.com/en-us/support/product-support/drivers) and still not working :/ My Wacom is on the update products list.
What drivers did you install?

June 6, 2017 at 8:39 pmHey Albert – try uninstalling your wacom drivers and then installing driver v. 6.3.18-4 (from Oct. 2016). This seems to be the driver version that allows this functionality.
Hopefully Wacom will fix this in a future patch soon, but for now this is the best I could find. ????
Also – this is assuming you’re using an Intuos Pro. If not, I would just keep testing previous drivers until you find one that works. That’s what I did.

June 11, 2017 at 8:10 pmHi! I’m having similar problem… in my case, it never moves, just “enters” in the value (as if I just clicked on it) it doesn’t matter if I click and drag left, right, softly, strongly, slow, fast… always enters in the value… it doesn’t move a single number… I use PREMIERE PRO CC 2017.0.1 in my MAC PRO 2009 with my WACOM TABLET INTUOS DRAW
with the mouse works perfectly well… and in the same PREMIERE version but on a PC with windows, my tablet works fine too!! but not in my Mac… ☹
I wrote to wacom… hope they will fix this soon…
I will try a previous driver version as you say… but I’m seeing on wacom´s web that for my tablet there’s only one previous version??? this is the only one I find there…
MacOSX – Driver 6.3.21-8 (Mac OS X 10.10, 10.11, & 10.12)
is this possible??
thank you very much!
