Cant capture video
It could be one of a hundred things, but I figured maybe someone knows how to fix or has fixed this problem on their computer.
Its a G5, with an aja box and a kona card, not sure on the models we got them 2 years ago and they were the latest model then.
So when I try to digitize, the capture window says “preview not available” and I cant see any video in the log & capture window. So I tried capture now and it says “cant capture now because there is no video”. This is for both DVC Pro and Beta decks.
So I figured something is screwed up with the aja box, which I know nothing about.I did install an update to FCP shortly before this happened, but so did a co-worker and he can capture like normal.
Any tips, advice, or fixes would be greatly appreciated.

1st thing I would do is uninstall the kona software and then reinstall it. You really need to take the time and learn about the hardware you have.

I am having the same problem except I have GL2 going to a power mac G5 via Firewire. Can someone help us please!? 🙂
