Can’t add AVI files to Sony Vegas Pro 11
So I had some issues with Sony Vegas getting stuck at “Creating file I/O Manager” but was able to fix that problem. So now I can get into Sony Vegas and import any videos I want… Except for AVI files. This is a pretty big problem for me because I record video game content, and the program I use (Fraps) only saves videos in AVI format, there are no other options for that program.
I’m relatively sure the issue has to do with the aviplug.dll file, so I downloaded the only one I found online but it was for Sony Vegas Pro 10 and when I used that then Sony Vegas would crash at the “Creating file I/O Manager” step. I’m not really too sure what else it could be, but if anyone has any suggestions that’d be fantastic. I’ve had no issues with us until earlier tonight, nothing changed on my computer at all since the last time I used Vegas. The only issue is that it was getting stuck at “Creating file I/O Manager”, which I had to fix by moving around and changing file names. Which is why I think it’s something to do with the aviplug.dll file.
I’m really not all that tech savvy, so I don’t really have any other ideas which I guess is why I’m asking here. Does anyone have any clue what could help, or know of a place where I can download the aviplug.dll file? Or do you think just reinstalling Sony Vegas would be the best (or only) viable option?
