Windows xp running After effects 6.5 pro

What kind of output can I expect from firewire to- canopus to- television?

Will echo fire assist or make output more informative?

Will I get real time ram preview to the television as it is playing in After effects? No waiting or other rendering?

    Anything I missed asking?

    Most likely thanks steve

I used Echo Fire, and found it very useful … when it was required. Now, you don’t need EF if you just want FW out. Its scopes were useful, though. Now I use Decklink, and use the scopes in FCP when I need to, but generally, I just knock down the colours when I create them, choosing safe colours right from the start.

EF uses a different way of previewing, from disk, but if I recall, it’s just as fast as RAM preview. There’s a forum if you need to know more.

Sorry, I don’t have the Canopus, so I can’t comment. I’ve heard good things, though. 🙂

    HTH,
    Steve
