  Canon XL H1 faulty viewfinder. DIY Repair

  Hi, The viewfinder on a XL H1 has total white out. No image at all. Has any one tried to replace the small LCD viewfinder them selves or find a substitute? I have a 5 inch monitor attached for framing, but it would be nice to have it repaired. I just thought I’d ask before asking Canon. They would probably charge me 90 bucks to say they can’t repair it.

  Has anybody any contacts of suitable repair outfits? I live downunder so will probably have to ship it half way around the world. That’s why it’s not fixed.
