  Canon XF100 not displaying date and time on screen need for legal use – NEED assistance

  Hi I am doing a legal video this Friday and I can’t get my XF100 to display the date and running time on the screen during playback.

  I read the manual where it says to select show date/time click set and that should do it and I see it in the finder and on the screen but when I try to play back on my laptop and in media mode I don’t see date/time I do see it in the metadata but that’s not enough.

  I read another post where the poor guy sees everything on his playback, so I’m sure this can be done but I’ve basically reset my camera to factory then turned all display/date/time settings to on and updated firmware to 1.03 so if anyone can help me I’m about ready to have a heart attack. it’s 1245am hope you can help.
