Canon XF no route disc structure for inges
Hello all!
I was wondering if you could help me with quite an urgent problem.
We are currenly working on a 13 ep series that is entirely file based. Unfortunately the client has delivered a whole episode worth of rushes with incorrectly duplicated disc routes. I.e they have only provided the ‘clip’ folder with all mxf media rather than the whole disc structure. This means that we cannot mount the volume via AMA.
However, we are able to ingest the material simply by navigating to the existing MXF files from the clip folder and importing them direct.
My main quandary is that due to it being LONGOP based we are uncertain if this alternative method will have any ramifications as their edit progresses. Instead of AMA combining all subsidiary clips they are importing individually.
Any thoughts on this? Am I being specific enough?

I should also point out that the client has wiped all their cards in order to clear space for the next episodes shoot and that we have all the correct, up-to-date canon utility installed using our MC5.5.1 and our 5.0.
This is a pretty urgent predicament as I have a meeting with the execs about it on Monday GMT.
