Canon XF 305
Hello,
I’m having real trouble viewing the MXF files I recorded on this camera.
They open in VLC but every time I try to scrub the clip VLC crashes.
I’ve got a 120 hours of footage to view and scrubbing is essential or I may shoot myself.
When I try and use the transfer and log feature in FCP 6 i gte this message “has invalid directory structure. Please choose a folder whose directory structure matches the supported media.”
Can anyone help?
I’ve searched and searched forums and I can’t find the answer.

Hi your post was a while back about the Canon Xf 305 and MXF Files, did you find a solution? I have about 120hrs of footage that I also can’t Log and Transfer, I copied all the Info off the CF cards onto external drives, I now know I should have used the Canon XF Utility to back up the cards…That doesn’t help where Im at now.
For me it’s important to be able to give the clips nos. so they correspond to all the different camera positions shooting the particular Numbered Horse going by, this is so we can match them all up witheach other for editing purposes.
Any pointers you can give me with Workflows etc can help me Immensely..
