Canon Vixia HFS100 or Canon EOS Rebel T2i?
I am looking into upgrading to an Hd camera and can’t decide which camera to get? They are both around the same price refurbished (Vixia:$500 t2i:$560). I would be using it for skate video and just youtube videos and progressing in videography. I use Final Cut Express so does anyone know which one would be better?

For a skate video I would use the Vixia.
The problem with the T2i and many other dslr’s is the rolling shutter. In cases of moving subjects, or handheld use- the images come out with “jellied edges.” The edges of subjects appear to move, appear blurry or fragmented, because of the inability to capture them properly.
Any camera not sporting a 1080/60 setting wont have the necessary specs to capture the images of moving skaters that I believe you are looking for.
Vibration is an equally damning problem for the cmos unfortunately as seen here

Even dslrs like nikon’s d700 have similar issues
