  Canon Vixia HF R52 Splits MP4 into small clips with a gap. Why?

  Hi,

  I’m on a mac.

  I’m using the Vixia 52 to record a concert.

  The camera splits the clip at around 28 minutes into MP4 files.

  On the camera it appears as one file and plays back with no gaps.

  When I try and bring the files into FCPX there is a notable gap / skip / hiccup even though the regions are right next to each other.

  There are many websites trying to be affiliates for software that “joins” these clips together – but they seem very spammy.

  How can I get these clips to import seamlessly to FCPX so I can start editing?
