Canon hard drive camera files
Hi!….quick question….
I think I understand the basic hard drive camera workflow now (thanks to Shane Ross) but I’m a little unclear on one simple OS procedure.
When you first back up your original compressed files from a hard drive cam, do you copy the entire hard drive that mounts up on the desktop; or do you open that drive up – and drag all the folders out and copy them?
It would seem these folders would need to be put into another newly created folder to keep them all under one roof, and then re-name. Do you then just import that one folder into FCP?
Just want to make certain if it’s the mounted drive I copy, or is it the folders inside that drive.
