My Canon C100 wouldn’t switch on.

I was using it one day and the battery was close to zero and I’m not sure if I had the lever on the lock mode or camera mode but then the camera shut down due to no battery.

I recharged the battery, green lights says 100% and mount the battery to the camera and the camera just won’t turn on. I’ve hit the small reset button and it still won’t work.

I don’t have the original USB cable or DC charger, so it’s just the battery and cam.

Was just wondering if anyone knows any alternate methods to get this camera switched on, or if anyone else had this issue. I hope it’s not a faulty camera.

    Thanks.

Have you called Canon? They have excellent tech support. Really good and have even called me back with answers.

    Hi,

Thanks for replying. Based on what I wrote are you able to tell what could really be the problem, I just wanna spend too much money getting it repaired from Canon if there’s any way to get the camera working through some kind of factory reset or a few button combos.

    Thanks

Calling Canon is free. So no worries there.

You can try a different battery. Or try plugging the C100 directly into power (using the battery charge station which doubles as the DC power brick). Nothing of what you describes sounds like you damaged the camera. It’s likely just coincidental.
