Canon C100 + Atomos Shogun major framerate issue
I just finished a three day shoot with the C100 + Shogun, recording both externally to the Shogun and internally to the C100 SD cards as backup. The framerate for the film is 24P – the C100 was set to 24PSF, and all the Shogun footage was correctly recorded at 24P.. BUT all the internal C100 footage recorded at 29.97 for some inexplicable reason??
This wouldn’t be a problem if there wasn’t a few scenes where I unplugged the Shogun and just recorded internally – those too have been recorded at 29.97 despite the fact that the camera was set to 24PSF.. I need these files to be in 24P!
It would make a little bit of sense to me that the C100 could record 29.97 when outputting 24PSF via HDMI .. but why would it still record 29.97 when not outputting via HDMI? I’m really hoping this is just a strange metadata flagging issue?? Please help.
