    Hi,
    I accidentally formatted a 64gig Transcend SD card in a Canon 6D.
I had video footage on at least half the card. The footage is for a client.

I recreated the problem using another Transcend card and the same Canon 6D.
(I recorded 5 clips then formatted the card).
Then I used this Transcend card with the recreated problem and tried to recover the lost footage using the
Transcend RecoveRx software, the Stellar Phoenix Software and Data Rescue 3 software. None of them work.

Transcend suggested using their software, and after I told them I did, and it didn’t work they said I could send it in to them but don’t expect much because that’s what they use. Canon has no solution and suggested I contact the card manufacturer, which I had already done.

What I’m getting is the software identifies video clips. Finds them and tries to recover them. But all I get is a black screen
that plays 2 or so seconds of audio only and then the audio goes dead as well. I’m currently contacting data recovery services, but don’t know what to expect from them.

Does anyone have a solution or suggestion? I have read previous threads on this but none of them had a workable solution to the problem. Any suggestions are appreciated. Thanks.
