Canon 60D Field Monitor
Hi all,
Since the other threads are already six years old…
I’ve been using the Canon 60D for a couple of years now, still satisfied! I’m looking into some options for better/more accurate manual focus so I’m considering an external field monitor since I’m no big fan of a loupe.
I know the 60D drops to a lower resolution when you hit the record button. Is this a problem for the focus peaking on the monitor? Don’t want to spent the money if I can’t get the focus right during shooting. I assume the lower HDMI output resolution doesn’t actually affect the recorded footage?

Once you figure out if it will work, I’ve got a very nice field monitor I’ve got for sale at a great price right now. It’s been lightly used on my 5Dmkiii. If it might work, have a look.
